A private bill tracker with no subscription

Updated 4 October 2026

Many bill and budget apps charge every month and ask for your bank login. If you only want to see what is due and what you have paid, there is a simpler way: a small dashboard on your own computer.

What a local finances dashboard does

What it deliberately does not do

It does not connect to your bank. Automatic bank sync means a company holds your real bank login on its servers, which is the opposite of keeping your data to yourself. You enter amounts yourself or import a file from your bank or spreadsheet. That takes a little more effort and means nobody else ever holds your credentials.

Who this suits

Who it does not suit

If you want every transaction pulled in automatically and categorized for you, a bank-connected app does that and this does not. Choose based on what you value more: automation or keeping control.

How to get one

Start the five questions, choose Finances as a priority, and preview the result. The paid package gives you a build prompt for ChatGPT or Claude. Amounts shown in the preview are fictional examples.

Common questions

Is this financial advice?

No. It is an organizing tool. Check anything important, and talk to a qualified professional for advice.

Can I import from a spreadsheet?

Yes. You can import a file such as a CSV, and you preview it before anything is saved.

What if I lose my computer?

Use the backup button now and then and keep the backup file somewhere safe. Your records live on your device, so keeping backups is your responsibility.
