Getting the most out of your package

After a successful payment, the email with your private download link usually arrives within a few minutes from hello@dashboardhq.app. If you do not see it:

1. Check your spam, junk, and Promotions folders.
2. Search your mailbox for dashboardhq.
3. If it is still missing after about fifteen minutes, email hello@dashboardhq.app from the address you used at checkout and we will resend it.

The private link is valid for seven days after purchase. If yours has expired, email us from the address you bought with and we will issue a fresh one. There is no charge for this.

Open the link in any browser. The package is a single page with your personalized instructions and a Copy my dashboard prompt button. Save the page (or keep the email) so you can come back to it. Nothing is installed on your device at this stage.

• Local Dashboard — $19.99. One complete personalized build prompt with your dashboard type, modules, sources, visual choices, workflows, and safety boundaries preloaded, plus copy-paste-open instructions and a start-from-scratch path.
• Local Auto-Refresh — $39.99. Everything in the Local Dashboard, plus a prompt section that builds a private refresh helper for your Mac, Windows, or Linux computer.
• Auto-Refresh upgrade — $20. If you bought the Local Dashboard and use a desktop computer, you can pay the difference to add Auto-Refresh. Your upgrade link is in your delivery email and in the Day-7 follow-up.

1. Open your package and click Copy my dashboard prompt.
2. Open ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok and start a new chat.
3. Paste the whole prompt and send it.
4. The AI builds a complete dashboard.html file. Download it and open it in your browser.
5. Follow the short walkthrough inside the dashboard, then add your first real record.

You do not need to know how to code. The prompt tells the AI to build the finished file, not to give you a plan.

No. A free account with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok is enough. If you do not have one, the wizard helps you pick and open a supported free option before you buy.

Reply to it with exactly this: build the complete dashboard.html now. If it still stops short, paste the whole prompt again from Copy my dashboard prompt — a partial paste is the most common cause.

Tell the AI: continue and output the complete file. Long builds sometimes pause; asking it to continue almost always finishes the job. If the file opens but a section is missing, tell the AI which module is incomplete and ask it to rebuild that section into the same file.

Gemini works through a Google Drive setup. Notion records can be exported or pasted in; a direct Notion connection is not part of a Gemini build. Everything else works the same way.

Yes. The prompt is not tied to one assistant. If your first attempt does not go well, open the prompt in a different supported AI and paste it there.

The dashboard.html file lives wherever you saved it on your device. It remembers your records in that browser's local storage. Keep the file somewhere you will find it again, and make a backup early.

Open the dashboard, go to Settings, and use the backup download. It saves a single file with all your records. Do this after your first real records and again whenever you have added a lot. To restore, use the import option in Settings and choose that file.

Yes. Export the relevant Notion database or Google Sheet as CSV, then use the CSV import in your dashboard's Settings and map the columns when prompted. Your finished dashboard includes step-by-step import instructions for the sources you chose in the wizard.

Yes. The finished dashboard has a Settings area where you can change the style and colors, adjust the amount of detail, reorder or hide modules, and resize them. If you want a structural change the AI did not include, open your prompt again, describe the change, and ask it to rebuild into the same file — back up first.

A full reset is deliberately hard to do by accident. Settings offers a reset that first warns you to back up, then requires you to type the exact phrase yes reset my dashboard. Nothing is cleared until you do.

Yes. Once the file is on your device it opens and works without an internet connection. A connection is only needed if you later add an optional integration.

It is a small private helper that runs on your own Mac, Windows, or Linux computer. After a one-time source authorization, it checks the sources you approved every six hours and updates your dashboard, so you are not doing it by hand. It runs locally and does not send your dashboard records to DashboardHQ.

Your package includes an operating-system setup walkthrough, a source-authorization step, the six-hour schedule, status reporting, and failure recovery. Download the finished DashboardHQ folder, complete the one-time authorization, and use Start Dashboard.

Scheduled refreshes only run while the computer is awake. If it was asleep, the next refresh happens once it wakes. Your dashboard keeps the last good data in the meantime — nothing is lost, it is just not newer.

The helper keeps the last successful data for that source and reports the failure in its status, rather than wiping the section. Re-authorize the source when you are ready and the next refresh picks it back up.

If you use a Mac, Windows, or Linux computer, yes: you pay the $20 difference, not the full $39.99. Use the upgrade link in your delivery email or your Day-7 follow-up email. Phone-only orders and orders that already have Auto-Refresh cannot use the upgrade.

Back up your current dashboard.html, then attach that file to the same AI message before you paste the upgrade prompt. The AI keeps your existing dashboard, records, and preferences and adds Auto-Refresh around them. If you had not built it yet, the upgrade prompt can build the complete version from your saved choices.

Yes. The layout is responsive and modules stay compact, expanding when you tap them so the page stays easy to scan. You add and edit records the same way you would on a computer.

Auto-Refresh needs a computer that can stay awake and run its helper on a schedule, which phones and tablets are not built to do. A phone-only dashboard uses manual updates and file imports. If you select a phone or tablet in the wizard, we do not sell you Auto-Refresh.

Mobile browsers handle local files differently from desktop. Save the dashboard.html to your Files app (iPhone) or Downloads (Android) and open it from there. Your package includes plain-language steps for your device, and you can always keep and reopen it from the AI chat where it was built.

No. You can start completely from scratch with the local forms built into your dashboard. Notion and Google Drive are optional and can be added whenever — or never.

Through official authorization or file exports, whichever the service supports. DashboardHQ never asks you to paste passwords, recovery codes, or private tokens into an AI chat, and every connection stays optional and revocable.

If you chose guided setup in the wizard, your finished dashboard walks you through picking and mapping the exact Notion pages or Google Drive files you approve. If you chose self-directed, it stays usable locally and keeps the optional source instructions in Settings for whenever you want them.

No. The dashboard file and the records you save in it stay on your device. DashboardHQ does not host, receive, or back up that data. We keep only a purchase record (email, amount, date, order reference) to deliver your package and for accounting. Full details are on the privacy page.

Only the specific information and permissions you authorize for it, and nothing else. You can revoke that access from the service at any time.

Each package is delivered digitally and immediately, and its full contents are described before you buy, so all purchases are final and non-refundable. This is set out on the terms page, which you confirm at checkout.

Email hello@dashboardhq.app with the email you paid with. A duplicate charge, or a case where you never received a working download link and we cannot get one to you, we will put right.

Stripe emails a payment receipt to your checkout address, separately from your package email. Search your mailbox for Stripe or receipt if you do not see it.
