What you receive, setup and privacy

A plan first. A prompt package at launch.

The five-step planner creates a personalized preview. At launch, the $19.99 Local Dashboard and $39.99 Local Auto-Refresh packages provide a personalized prompt file to run in your own ChatGPT or Claude account. You build and use the resulting dashboard on a Mac or Windows computer.

You can plan on this site from a phone, but the finished packages require a computer. Data connections and refresh features need additional setup and authorization; they are not activated by this planner.

Know what you’re sharing.

Planning answers are saved in browser storage. The site sends limited usage events, such as the wizard step reached. Joining the launch list sends your email and separate consent through Formspree for one announcement, without your wizard choices.

If you make a private-pilot purchase, your configuration is sent to fulfill that order. Contact forms send the details you submit. Information you later share with an AI assistant or connected service is handled under that service’s policies.

DashboardHQ asks normal questions and turns your answers into a dashboard plan that makes sense.

Connect what helps.

If you skip a connection, the plan shows what will need to be added by hand.

Local by default.

Your finished dashboard and its local records stay on your device. DashboardHQ does not host or receive that dashboard data.

Questions, answered

Know what you are getting.

The short version: start with what you have, keep control of your information, and add connections only when they are useful.

Is my finished dashboard private?

The finished dashboard is designed to save its file and local records on your computer. Information you share with your AI assistant, authorize a connected service to read, or submit to this website is handled by those services. See our privacy notice for this website’s data practices.

Why would I use Notion or Google Drive — and how?

Only if your tasks, notes, budgets, or client records already live there, so you do not have to retype them. If your assistant has a Notion or Google connector, the build can read that content directly; otherwise you export the Notion database or Google Sheet as a file and import it. Either way it is a one-time import you preview and confirm — nothing keeps syncing on its own, and no passwords are involved. If your information is not already in one of these, skip both and use the built-in local forms. You can add a source later from Settings.

Can it connect to my email?

Gmail can be a source where your AI account offers a suitable connector and you authorize it. Otherwise, add the records you want to track manually or through a supported file import. The Auto-Refresh helper does not directly sync Gmail or Google Sheets; ongoing updates need a separate relay into Notion. Other email providers are not included as direct background-sync sources in these packages. See the setup guide.

Do I need an AI account?

You need your own ChatGPT or Claude account to use the personalized prompt. Available features, connectors and usage limits depend on your provider and account. You do not need an account to use this planning wizard.

What do the paid packages include?

Both packages deliver a personalized prompt file to run in your own ChatGPT or Claude account. Save and open the resulting dashboard locally. The $19.99 Local Dashboard prompt includes source instructions and a launch walkthrough; the $39.99 Local Auto-Refresh prompt also specifies a private Notion refresh engine and setup instructions. Gmail and Google Sheets require a separate relay into Notion for ongoing updates. Both are one-time, self-serve digital packages.

How does this compare to a subscription app?

DashboardHQ’s packages are one-time purchases: $19.99 for Local Dashboard or $39.99 for Local Auto-Refresh. They provide a personalized prompt file, rather than a hosted dashboard subscription. Your AI account and any optional services have their own terms and may have separate costs.

How is this different from a Notion template?

A template starts with a preset layout. DashboardHQ’s personalized prompt uses your planning answers to specify modules, fields and appearance for a dashboard you build in your own AI account. Start with manual records or supported file imports; optional connections require additional setup.

Does it connect to my bank automatically?

No. These packages do not include automatic bank sync. Enter transactions manually or import a supported file instead. Only share information you are comfortable providing to your AI assistant or any services you choose to use.

Which devices are supported?

Both packages require a Mac or Windows computer. Phone and tablet support is deferred to a future app. No app release date has been announced.

How do connected services work?

Use official authorization or exports when available. DashboardHQ never asks you to send passwords or recovery codes, and every connection remains optional.
